The Process

Step 1: Initial Consultation

We begin by listening to our clients' inspirations and priorities for their water feature, gathering comprehensive information to understand their vision.

Step 4. Materials & Preparation

Upon design approval, we organise and hand-select all necessary materials, including visiting quarries to choose the perfect rocks for the project.

Step 2: Site Visit

We arrange a site visit to meet the client and assess the space, ensuring we grasp their desires and the site's potential.

Step 3: Design & Planning

Back at the office, we create a mood board with preferred colors and materials, and develop a design that meets the client's needs and budget.

FAQ's

  • Maintenance requirements depend on the type of water feature or pond, its location, and the filtration system. Ponds with fish or Koi require more maintenance than those without. However, modern self-cleaning filtration systems are nearly maintenance-free. If your pond is in an area where leaves and debris can accumulate, it will need regular cleaning with a pond vacuum or net to prevent algae growth. We offer maintenance packages tailored to your needs for all our ponds and water features.

  • The cost depends on the type and size of the pond or water feature. We can create a feature to fit any space and budget. For example, a 5m x 3m pond with a small waterfall or stream might cost around £10,000, including the liner, rock, pump/filter, and aquatic plants. Larger projects, such as natural swimming ponds, start at around £50,000, depending on size.

  • Modern pumps are much more efficient than those from ten years ago, using nearly half the power. The cost to run a pump depends on its size and the flow required. For instance, an average-sized pump with a power consumption of 350 watts would cost approximately £868 per year if run continuously at full power. We recommend running your pump and filter continuously, but many pumps now have controllers to reduce power during the winter when less water circulation is needed.

  • We have built ponds and water features of all sizes, from small ponds to lakes larger than a football pitch. It’s all about making the best use of your space and placing the feature where it is most visible or practical. Whether you want to attract aquatic wildlife or simply enjoy the sound of running water, we can design a feature to suit your garden.
